Principal's Corner

Welcome to Wills Point Primary School! I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Melanie Mullin, and I have the privilege of serving as the principal of this amazing school. As a proud 1997 graduate of Wills Point ISD, coming back to serve the community that helped shape me is truly a dream come true. I was blessed to have many teachers who believed in me, challenged me, and invested in my future. Their influence is one of the reasons I am so passionate about creating that same sense of belonging and encouragement for every child who walks through our doors.

One of my greatest joys is leading the incredible staff at Wills Point Primary. Every day, I get to work alongside educators who genuinely love children and are committed to helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

My favorite moments each day are greeting our students with hugs and high-fives as they arrive in the morning and visiting with parents during afternoon dismissal. Those conversations, smiles, and relationships are what make our school feel like family. I believe that when schools and families work together, children thrive.

I also love creating meaningful experiences that make learning exciting and memorable. Whether it's through hands-on lessons, campus celebrations, or opportunities that spark curiosity, I want our students to look forward to coming to school each day. I encourage our families to be active partners in those experiences because your involvement makes a lasting difference.

Capturing Kids' Hearts is at the heart of everything we do. I believe every interaction with a child matters and that every adult has the opportunity—and responsibility—to model kindness, respect, integrity, and compassion. Together, we are building confident learners, strong character, and a school community where every child knows they are loved, valued, and capable of great things.

Thank you for trusting us with your children. It is an honor to partner with your family, and I look forward to getting to know each of you as we continue making Wills Point Primary a place where every child is a hero in the making.
