In most cases, a decision to close or delay school due to bad weather is made prior to 6:00 a.m. The information will first be posted on the Wills Point ISD webpage, wpisd.com, and then sent out through the District’s phone, text, and email notification system to all WPISD ISD staff and families. If you have not received any calls or emails from your child’s school or from the District, please contact the campus to make sure they have the correct phone number for you on file.
In addition, WPISD will also post the information on the Wills Point ISD Facebook page.
The District will contact all of the local television stations (Channels 4, 5, 8 and 11), and all local Wills Point publications with the information.
Please understand that there may be a delay between the time the district provides the local television stations with the information and the time they actually post it on the air. The district website, Facebook, and the phone and email notifications will be the best sources for the most accurate information.
